It is recommended that a residential home have a miniumum of 5000 litres of water for fire protection.
Using the sprinklers intermitantly conserves water for when the fire front arrives.
We recommend a dedicated tank outlet to supply your fire fighting pump and a seperate outlet for the fire services. This will avoid the need to interrupt the water supply to your fire protection system.
Camlock fittings to allow quick connection to the pump .
Male and female ends allows you to join hoses together .
Our Suction hose sets use UV Resistent PVC hose, poly camlocks and stainless hose clamps.
The suction side of your pump should not have any restrictions.
Restrictions can cause cavitation to occur in the line and damage the pump internals.
Therefore if your pump has a 2 inch inlet , all fittings and hases need to be 2 inch or larger.
Our sets include watermarked outlets and a nickel plated brass ball valve.
Wether your pump inlet is 50mm, 40mm or 25mm we have a set to suit.
Often over-looked, restricting the water supply to your pump will cause cavitation and premature failure of your fire pump. The size of your tank outlet is critical and should be no smaller than the inlet of your pump.
A seperate Storz 65 outlet for the fire services, then both you and the fire service can draw water at once.
