Outline of a fixed system

How it works

  •  Water is supplied to the sprinklers by a pump fed by a water tank. The pump can be fuel or electric driven and may be remote start or manual start.
  • The sprinklers are strategically positioned around the perimeter of the structures to target flying embers before they can reach combustible materials.

Benefits

  •  Provides reliable water coverage across at-risk areas.
  • We recommend using rotating sprinkler heads instead of impacts as the rotating head throws water out horizontally limiting the effect high winds will have on the water particles.
  • Will help prevent ignition from flying embers, which are a significant cause of bushfires spreading.

Installation

  •  Fixed bushfire sprinkler systems need to be custom fitted to your house by a tradesperson or they can be installed DIY if you have the skills.
  • The system is generally connected to an ring main around the perimeter of the structure to supply maximum water supply to all sprinkler heads.

Cost

  •  The cost of a fire sprinkler system depends on the size of the system, the complexity of the installation, and other factors
