Portable Bushfire Sprinkler Systems

A portable bushfire sprinkler system is a moveable, readily deployable irrigation system designed to protect homes and property from bushfires by spraying a continuous stream of water around the perimeter of a building, effectively cooling the area and mitigating the impact of flying embers during a fire event; it typically consists of a water pump, hoses, sprinkler heads, and can be easily set up and moved to different locations depending on the threat level, often drawing water from a rainwater tank or pool.

How it works

Our Drencher give the same protection as a fixed roof top ember protection system with the added benefit of being able to move to where it is needed most.
Water is supplied to the sprinklers from a water tank, mains water, or fire fighting pump.
The sprinklers are strategically positioned in elevated positions to target flying embers before they can reach combustible material around your home.
These systems are generally manually operated in an attempt to keep things simple.

Installation

Portable bushfire sprinkler systems can be DIY, Our Rainmakers hang off gutters or in an elevated position.
Generally 2 to 3 Drenchers can protect the side of your home facing the fire front.
The system can be connected to your garden tap water, or to ensure that you have pressure we recommend a fire fighting pump with a combustion engine, or a electric engine attached a generator or solar batteries.
