Note - Towns water is unreliable during a bushfire crisis.

Low Volume & PRESSURE

A DA rainmaker sprinkler is designed for lower flow rates and  water pressure,  ideally suited for the varing water pressure of reticulated or towns water.

2 DA Sprinklers connected to garden tap

The DA Rainmaker is efficient and effective using.

  • 5 Litres per Minute each at 100 KPa
  • up to 10 Litres per minute each at 300 KPa
  • one sprinkler protects up to 10 linear metres
  • we recommend 6 metre spacing.

CONNECTING A DA RAINMAKER TO YOUR TAP

Connect the hose to the tap.

The method of connecting to the tap depends on the number of DA Rainmaker you have. Ideally you need a valve controlling the flow of water to each sprinkler.

  • One DA - connect the hose directly to the tap
  • Two DA's - add a 2 way splitter to connect the hose
  • Three or four DA's - add a Tee Splitter or 4 way splitter to connect your hoses.

Please ensure you order the correct size for your tap. ie NSW standard is 1" BSP, VIC standard is 3/4"BSP

Connect the hose to the sprinkler

We have a variety of connectors to attach your hose to your Rainmaker.

  • Brass quick connect.
  • Hoselink
  • or none (you use your own)

Please select the fitting that suits your hose,

Position the sprinkler

The Rainmaker was originally designed to simply hang off your gutter, we generally place them evey 6 metres.

If you have gutter mesh then a 50mm slit is required to fit the sprinkler, we generally cut this using a cutting disc on a 100mm offhand grinder. Mark the postion of the slit for  easy location when needed.

We have also developed a range of products to make hanging the rainmaker easier.

  • Pole Adapter - used with a painters extension pole removes the need to climb a ladder.
  • Bolt on Mount - Screws to any verticle flay surface to provide a secure mounting pint.

Turn it on

Activating the sprinkler is simply a case of turning on the valve, having a valve controling each rainmaker allows for fine tuning. They don't need to be spinning flat out to do the job, larger droplets are best.

Ready to Go System

Our Ready to Go system allows you to piece together an effective bushfire sprinkler system with parts that interconnect, removing some of the confusion. We uses poly cam-lock fittings to make the connection between the water supply, pump and sprinkler simple.

Step 1 . Select the hoses and adapters to suit your pump.

Step 2. Select the Rainmaker Bushfire Sprinklers to provide the level of protection required.

Step 3. Connect them all up and your Ready to Go. .
